Full-Time Patrol Officer

Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator

The City of Clay Center is seeking a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operator. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude and must be able to obtain a Class II Wastewater Operator Certification within two (2) years of hire. The successful applicant must also pass a post-offer Physical Capacity Test. Starting wage is dependent upon qualifications and experience. The position includes a generous benefits package, including BC/BS health insurance. Applications may be obtained online or at our office, and returned to City Hall, 427 Court Street.

Maintenance Crew

Clay Center Street Department is accepting applications to fill a position on the street maintenance crew. This position requires manual labor and the ability to operate heavy equipment. On the job training will be provided to obtain a CDL within 60 days. Knowledge and ability to work with concrete construction will be considered. This position will be subject to a pre-employment background check, drug test and physical capacity profile test. A valid current drivers license will be required. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, paid health insurance and KPERS. Salary DOQ, EOE, position open until filled.
